Four sizes, one hanger hole

Use the guide at its original size.

  1. 1. Pick your size.

Download the EPS to design in Adobe Illustrator, or the PDF to see the layout or place it under your design. Keep it at its original size.

  2. 2. Design on the Artwork layer.

The guides sit on their own locked layer, which doesn't print in the EPS. Run backgrounds and photos out to the black bleed line, and keep words and logos inside the blue safety line. Anything inside the green circle is punched out.

  3. 3. Send it with your project details.

Send your artwork, quantity and need-by date. You'll see a proof before anything is printed.

What sizes do your door hanger templates come in?

Four: 4.25 x 11, 3.5 x 8.5, 4.25 x 14, and 4 x 7 inches. Each size is its own template, as an EPS and a PDF, and all four share the same hanger hole, bleed, and safety line.

How much bleed does a door hanger need?

1/16 inch past the cut on every side. The 4.25 x 11 template, for example, is 4.375 x 11.125 inches with its bleed. Backgrounds and photos that run off the edge should reach the black bleed line.

What is a bleed?
How big is the hanger hole, and where is it?

It is a circle 1 3/16 inches across, centered side to side, with its center 1 inch below the top edge, and a slit from the hole up to the top edge. Anything inside the green circle is punched out.

Where should words and logos go?

Inside the blue safety line, which sits 1/16 inch in from the cut, and clear of the hanger hole.

Should I download the EPS or the PDF?

The EPS if you design in Adobe Illustrator: the guides are on a locked layer that doesn't print, and your design goes on the layer named Artwork. The PDF shows the same guides on their own layer, to see the layout or to place under your design in another program. Hide or delete the guides before you send your file.

Can I send artwork that isn't on the template?

Yes. Send what you have and tell us which door hanger size it is for. You'll see a proof before anything is printed.
